Tea made from the leaves of the mate shrub has been drunk in South America for centuries – because it tastes great and packs a powerful kick. That's exactly what we wanted too. Just not on the Amazon, but on the Spree – so we developed our mate vision right here where we live: a fresh soft drink, made from green mate leaves and only lightly sweetened. But with maximum energy of 30 mg caffeine/100 ml.
Our exclusive raw material supplier is called Ilex paraguariensis – the king of mate shrubs. We ferment its green leaves slowly and gently and then heat them only very briefly – not roasted through, as is the case with many mate drinks. The effort is worth it, as it creates the distinctive and particularly mild taste of MATE MATE. An epic kick, vegan and lactose-free: this is how you drink today.
